Hearing loss is the 3rd most prevalent chronic condition among the elderly in the U.S., affecting quality of life for millions of their families.  Even with consistent improvements in technology, less than 25% of the people who need hearing aids use them.  Why?

-
denial that a hearing loss is present,
-
belief that hearing loss is not severe enough to warrant treatment, and
-
perception that hearing aids are too expensive.*

Many seniors have been bombarded with advertising and conflicting information about hearing centers and hearing aids – they do not know who to trust and where to go to take care of their needs, so they live with the unnecessary consequences of untreated hearing loss.

Surveys show that people want hearing centers with professional staff, convenient locations, convenient hours, reasonable prices, and free hearing screenings.**  Hear In America’s goal is to offer our group members all of these things, and more.  Many members have told us that they have known for some time they needed help with their hearing, but they just didn’t know where to start until they found out their group offered Hear In America’s group hearing benefits.
